Make a sauce!
Making sauce is a rite of passage in my Italian family. You get to a certain age—you make a sauce. Together, you and your trusty sauce can rock dinner, lunch, and impromptu english muffin pizzas — any time, any day. All you need is a few ingredients, a trusty recipe, and a little bit of love <3.
A few simple ingredients, 30 mins, and a lil bit of love = your one pot wonder. A sauce to use across your recipe book.
pasta Sauce! It’s versatile and delicious
A tasty pasta sauce offers its weight in recipes. It’s like a one pot wonder. You can use your pasta sauce to fuel your food during the week—and not just in traditional ways (think pasta and chicken parm). Yu can use your pasta sauce as a base in marinades, barbecue sauce, soups, dressings, chili, and so on.
Make your pasta sauce today
I use Nonnie’s OG Garlic Salt in my pasta sauce. It offers the most versatility to use across my recipe book. Nonnie’s OG Garlic Salt is a classic blend of salt, pepper, and garlic. This garlic salt makes a delicate, flavorful pasta sauce. Not too bold, light in taste, with a simple deliciousness. It is my liquid gold.
In our home, we treat our pasta sauce like liquid gold. None gets tossed—not even the thick paste left on the inside of the pot after the simmer.
Mamina’s pasta sauce recipe
