    “Mamina” means little mother in Italian. SALTY MAMINA is the brand name for our family-inspired garlic salt. The name SALTY MAMINA was chosen to the honor women and family. Carla—as grandmother—took the name Mamina in honor of her Sicilian grandmother.

    The name SALTY MAMINA embraces women in Carla’s life who made home cooking taste so good. Inspired by family, SALTY MAMINA honors Mom, Nonnie, and Mamina.

    We recommend using garlic salt within 6 months of opening for best flavor.

  • What do I dif my garlic salt gets moist?

    Our all natural homemade garlic salt is a dry seasoning made from real ingredients. No anti-caking agents or fake stuff. Store in a cool dry place.

    To prevent clumping use a spoon instead of fingers. Fingers introduce moisture into the salt.

    If you find that your garlic salt gets moist, dry it in an over at 170 degrees for about 20 minutes. Grind it in a coffee grinder to return it to a sprinkling state.

    No, garlic salt and garlic powder are different. Typically, garlic salt is made from garlic powder and salt.

    Garlic salt is a mix of garlic powder and salt. Garlic powder is made from dehydrated and ground garlic and has no salt.

    No, in general, garlic salt will not clump. Store your garlic salt in a dry place.

    If you store garlic salt in a humid, wet or outdoor environment, or if you use damp fingers to pinch the garlic salt you may see clumps.
