Food is love

A few weeks ago, Roy and I traveled through the hills of Sorrento; ate our way through gritty and frenetic Naples; and enjoyed Ana Capri’s cliffside charm.

We ate in farm houses and wineries; shared tables with fellow travelers—and along the way—even in the rugged streets of Naples amid the chaos of people and things—we found meaning in every morsel.

Best food ever = love

Italians love food so much—every ingredient, how it’s mixed, and served—is thoughtful and provocative. In Italy, our credo “made with love” was in full stride.

Italians love food so much

It’s even written in the recipes!

Italians believe love is a key ingredient in food. In Italian cooking, love isn’t optional; it’s the ingredient that makes everything come alive. The food was delicious, powerful, and fresh. Love was evident on the plate and on the palate. I’m pretty sure I tasted 10 times the love in every dish—it was that powerful.

Garlic salt & the credo of love

I put love into every batch of garlic salt. Just like Mom and Nonnie. Their love was real, and it still guides me today. When you cook with my garlic salt, I hope you feel that love ten-fold. I hope you taste the tradition. I hope it tastes like home. If it does, then I know I’ve done well. Because you are the reason our garlic salt is great.

We make it for you—always, and only—with love.

Love,

Carla
